4 wild elephants were caught in month of September in Sidhi district by Mr Mridula Kumar Pathak and party and later brought to Bandhavgarh for training.

By first week of Ocober 2018 all the elephants were put in and Kuttappan Mahavat under the stewardship of Mr Mridul Pathak took charge of training them.
First elephant was out in January itself and on the last day of March 2019 they decided to release a female out of the corral.
A characutter went in to corral to clean her back and put the chain in her fore legs so she could walk smoothly and do not run .
Next thing needed to be done was putting a chain in her forelegs. These elephant did not had any chain in their feet while they were in corral. The clean forelegs tells the story. They were treated with tender love and care. Initially they were given unlimited supply of sugarcane and other fodder so they know the value of their human friend. Soon they let them touch and slowly slowly they started obeying the verbal commands.
Once the feet were secured with a chain the one side of corral was opened with the help of a JCB machine.
Gautam was kept ready for safety to control the elephant if she behaves abnormally.
